Who We Are Supporting

In 2024, Runs for Ronnie (R4R) celebrated our 10th anniversary. For 8 years our organization raised almost $60,000 for The Jimmy Fund, the sole financial supporter of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Dana Farber helps cancer patients from all around the country at their Boston, MA facility.

Since 2023, we have focused on cancer treatment, research, and patient care closer to home. We made a cash donation to Cold Spring Harbor Labs Renal Cell Carcinoma research lab, donated 6 hospital recliners to St. Joseph Hospital Infusion Center in Bethpage, and donated 150 backpacks to the Cohen Children’s Hospital Pediatric Cancer Unit. We also made a contribution to Dana Farber again in memory of Ronnie.

This year R4R will be providing water bottles to the Division of Hematology/Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation Cohen Children's Medical Center. The social workers mentioned that it is difficult to keep track of the amount of liquids the kids are consuming so they requested water bottles with liquid measurement.
We will also continue to support the Cold Spring Harbor Renal Cancer Research Lab as well as The Jimmy Fund and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

About Us

Runs For Ronnie raises funds to help with research and treatment of children and adult cancer.  We do this in honor of our brother Ronnie who passed away at age 51 from renal cancer.  Ronnie would often donate to his church as well as other local organizations.  His greatest passion was going to Fenway Park and helping raise money for the Jimmy Fund and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.  They are well known for their treatment and research of children and adult cancer.
