Annual Runs for Ronnie Fundraiser
|
We will be back for our 10th annual fundraiser this September! Stay tuned for more details about the event!
While you wait, check out this video from Catholic Health Update. Thanks to your support we were able to provide St. Joseph Hospital's Infusion Center with brand new recliners for patients. |
At the 2023 event, the Runs for Ronnie team was recognized by the Town of Hempstead for our contributions to our local community!
Who We Are Supporting
Over the last nine years, since the inception of Runs for Ronnie, we have raised almost $60,000 for The Jimmy Fund, the sole financial supporter of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Although The Jimmy Fund raises funds to aid Dana Farber in their endeavor to treat adults and children from all over the U. S. and internationally, we felt that this year we wanted to begin to help cancer patients a little closer to home.
This year we connected with St. Joseph’s Hospital Infusion Center in Bethpage. The infusion center serves anywhere from 18-20 patients a day for infusions, including chemotherapy, IV antibiotics, and blood transfusions. This translates to about 6,000 visits per year. The funds raised will aid to improve the patient care and comfort during treatment while dealing with their cancer diagnosis. Runs for Ronnie hopes this can be the beginning of helping cancer patients in our own backyard. |

About Us
Runs For Ronnie raises funds to help with research and treatment of children and adult cancer. We do this in honor of our brother Ronnie who passed away at age 51 from renal cancer. Ronnie would often donate to his church as well as other local organizations. His greatest passion was going to Fenway Park and helping raise money for the Jimmy Fund and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. They are well known for their treatment and research of children and adult cancer.
